Child Abuse

Talk about it:

For me, someone who thinks of himself as pretty much a "regular guy," the whole topic of "child abuse" is something of a mystery. Kids, especially little ones, are cute as heck. Who could even think of hurting them . . . on purpose? It seems unthinkable.

But it happens. The evidence is all around: movies such as Good Will Hunting, One Hour Photo, Antwone Fisher, The Cell . . . the videotape of that woman who was beating her child.

Assuming that child abuse is something we want to get ride of: how?

The very idea of child abuse seems irrational to many people. Who could hurt an innocent child? Why? It seems unthinkable.

But it's not. For the LiveReal Agents, understanding child abuse, learning what needs to be done about it, and then working to do it is a mission that needs to be taken on . . .

What are we doing now about child abuse?

Well, there are laws against it, which prosecute individuals who are convicted of being guilty of it, and organizations that work to help out children who are abused.

But to us, this isn't enough. Why? Because this all happens after the fact.

Once abuse happens, these organizations kick into gear. But they do very little to prevent it from happening in the first place. This is where we come in.

Children are abused by screwed-up adults.
