The No-Bull Guide To Losing Weight

Do You Eat Food, Or Does Food Eat You?

Talk about it:

Welcome to our weight-loss adventure.

OK, for starters, we'll say it as bluntly as we can:
most of the people who are preaching at you about weight-loss are morons.

Why?

First of all, if they were all really so smart, we would all be getting more and more healthy, thin, and happy.

This is not the case. And honestly, if that were to ever actually happen, those weight-loss folks would then be out of a job. I wouldn't hold my breath. Weight-loss is a big business that's feeding a lot of children, in more ways than one.

Secondly, almost all of the weight-loss gurus generally spend their time preaching about diets, pills, what you should or shouldn't be eating, or how you should or shouldn't be exercising.

In other words, they're focusing on everything except for what's most important.

So, what is it that's most important?

Well, here at LiveReal, if we had to sum up the whole matter in two words, it would have to be this: "Know Yourself."

OK, we've all heard the cliche. But how does this apply to weight-loss?

Essentially, it's not about the diet; it's about who is doing the dieting; it's not about the exercise; it's about who is doing the exercising.

Most of the folks who are talking about dieting are focusing on what is least important in the matter, and ignoring what is most important.

The way we see it, "human beings" are not just "bodies."

Almost everybody agrees that almost every human being is and/or has a body . . . but also is and/or has a mind, heart, and soul.

(OK, some folks would probably want to argue about the "soul" part to a degree, but for the purposes of this article, it really doesn't matter whether you believe in it or not. And if you want, that's exactly what the snazzy LiveReal Discussion Board is built for.)

The way we see things,
on the scale of importance, the body (which is all most diet gurus focus on) is about 10%: and the heart, mind, and soul together is about 90%.

(Folks might argue about the exact percentages: maybe the body is 10%, mind 20%, heart 30%, and soul 40%. Or if you don't believe in the whole "soul" aspect, maybe the body is 10%, mind 30%, heart 60%. Whatever.

- and most of the folks out there peddling their miracle diets focus only on the 10%.

In other words, they're constantly telling you only what they think you should eat. They're focusing completely on the body, on what is, in the whole scheme of things, relatively unimportant . . . and they're ignoring the other 90% of what is most important.

Dieting is essentially just one small component of human nature. And in order to really understand dieting and what makes up successful weight-loss, you really need to understand human nature.

And in terms of understanding human nature,
we've found that one of the single most important aspects of weight-loss is this:

It's not about what you eat
nearly as much as it's about
how and why you eat.

This is directly connected to some of the most important aspects of dieting that almost none of the experts tell you about.

And that is . . .
