. . . And A Little Deeper . . .

In launching into this investigation,
we need to arm ourselves with two indispensable tools:
- open-mindedness; and
- rigorous discrimination.

- open-mindedness, because this is the very things that, for example, the nutcase terrorist and fundamentalist zealots lack (and we very well can't ask them to "be more open-minded" if we aren't following our own advice); and "rigorous discrimination" because (especially if one is honestly open-minded) one is preparing to encounter enough B.S. to choke a whale.

Now, with these tools in place, where do we go?

It seems to us, your valiant and ever-so-cuddly LiveReal Agents, that we must pull on out hip-boots (because we're going to be wading through a lot), launch into the universe and open-mindedly, scientifically, take a look at every religious and spiritual tradition that exists in the world today.

- and not just "take a look" - and not even study intellelectually . . . rather, to live, to spend years and decades working to appreciate the depth and richness of all the various major and alternative traditions throughout the world.

Yeah, right. As if we had the time to do that.

And even if we did have the time - the thousands of years it would take - we just aren't getting paid enough, running this web site, to afford an extra layer of mustard on our mustard sandwiches - much less to travel the world and spend time with all the great religious authorities in pursuit of their inner secrets.

So, what's the next alternative?

Well, to grab our chosen source of caffeine and our library card and do the best we can to conduct an exhaustive investigation of most of the world's available spiritual literature.

This is an investigation that we launched many years ago.

And we must say, we've found some very, very interesting things . . .
